Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Virginia on Network

With the opening of its Sterling, VA co-location operation, LocalNet is now servicing the greater Washington, DC, Baltimore and some Virginia areas on its own network. "We can provide a higher level of service, with a greater degree of quality control in these areas as a result of opening this facility" said Dave Kaplan, LocalNet General Manager.

LocalNet ends 2002 with 70,000 Subscribers!

70,000 subscribers "and growing" is how company President, Marc Silvestri, described LocalNet, as the company added its 70,000th subscriber. By reaching the 70,000 subscriber mark by year's end, the company recorded an 80% growth rate over 2001.

New York City PoP Now Operational

LocalNet has announced that its newest co-location site, this one in New York City, is now operational. The company has continued to grow over the years through the strategic opening of additional co-location facilities.

"The New York City facility completes our proprietary network coverage in New York State" said company General Manager, David Kaplan. With over 200 distinct dial-in numbers, LocalNet has the most complete, company owned dial-in network in the state.

High-Speed Cable Service Launched !

LocalNet has begun offering High-Speed, cable internet access over Time-Warner cable infrastructure.

Founded in 1994, LocalNet has experienced consistent growth, largely due to the success of its popular $9.95 dial-up service. The company was named to the Inc. Magazine List of America's 500 Fastest Growing Companies in 2000 and has seen a 250-percent increase in subscribers over the last two years.

The Federal Trade Commission has approved an agreement between Time Warner Cable and LocalNet that allows LocalNet to be offered throughout Time Warner Cable's Rochester, Albany, Syracuse, Binghamton, and Liberty, N.Y. divisions.

LocalNet has announced that is has opened new co-location facilities to service customers in Akron, OH, Columbus, OH, Kalamazoo, MI, northwestern Pennsylvania and the state of Maine. "This gives us 15 company owned co-location sites and the ability to offer our $9.95/mo. into some markets we feel are underserved" said company president Marc P. Silvestri.

50,000 Subscribers !

FTC Approves LocalNet/Time Warner Cable Agreement

Williamsville, NY - The Federal Trade Commission announced its approval of an agreement between Time Warner Cable and LocalNet Corporation, whereby LocalNet's ISP service will be offered on Time Warner Cable’s Albany, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, and Liberty, NY divisions.

"We're happy to add cable broadband service to our Internet access options," said Marc Silvestri, President of LocalNet.
